ASU is Planning to Implement Projects Together with Major Russian Shipbuilders

Astrakhan State University has found new partners — the United Shipbuilding Corporation and the shipbuilding yard «Lotus». Official agreements have been signed today in the special economic zone «Lotus».

The documents were signed by Konstantin Markelov, the ASU Acting Rector, Aleksey Rakhmanov, the President of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, and Rustam Khalitov, the Director General of the shipbuilding yard «Lotus».

The agreements extend the network of ASU cooperation with major industrial companies of Russia, which allows both to train future professionals with due regard to real needs of prestigious employers and to involve students into practical training programmes at modern enterprises from the very beginning of their studies at the university.

The partners plan to train students together and to perform activities on developing innovative shipbuilding technologies. ASU researchers can address regional needs quickly and efficiently and conduct practical research while tackling urgent tasks.
