ASU Discusses Issues of Caspian States’ National Economies
The ASU Faculty of Business & Economy is holding the international conference «Integrative Cooperation of the Caspian States».
The Caspian Sea region has a great economic, cultural and human potential that requires a systematic approach for progressive development. Its implementation is impossible without coordination and management of integrative processes that meet interests of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan. Such a scientific inquiry has become especially urgent when the Convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea was signed by the leaders of the Caspian states in August 2018.
The strategic aim of the ASU scientific event is to study socioeconomic conditions of the Caspian states and identify common points of their national economies.
The conference scope is:
- regulation of the economies under the conditions of institutional transformation and economic integration;
- prospects of establishing a free trade area for the Eurasian Economic Union and Iran;
- launching a regional Caspian center for transport and logistics;
- humanitarian cooperation of the Caspian states.
