ASU Strengthens Its International Role
Astrakhan State University and the Russian Geographical Society Centre in Serbia reached an agreement on cooperation.
The development of these relations was initiated by the ASU Faculty of Geology & Geography. The parties agreed to implement joint projects in research, applied and educational spheres.
The cooperation scope will include geo-information technologies, Earth remote sensing, physical geography, recreational geography and tourism.
«We believe that new cooperation will bring both theoretical and practical value. It will be useful and interesting not only for the university students and teachers but also for all citizens of our region because the cooperation will focus, among other things, on development of international tourism. Pre-arranged projects will strengthen partnership between the organizations and support friendly relationships between the fraternal Slavic nations,» Viktor Zanozin, an ASU Ph.D. student and a teaching assistant of the Department of Geography, Cartography and GIS Technologies, stressed.
The cooperation documents were signed by Konstantin Markelov, the ASU Acting Rector, and Miroljub Milincic, the Centre Director.
