Astrakhan State University Writes the All-Russia Dictation in English

The university has joined a project, organized by the Youth Policy Department together with the Institute of International Relations of Kazan Federal University to motivate the youth to learn foreign languages.

The event involved students of higher and general educational institutions of the Russian Federation within the framework of implementing the projects, selected by results of the All-Russia Competition, supported by the Federal Youth Agency.

The dictation started simultaneously in all regions of Russia. In Astrakhan State University, it was written by more than thirty students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, the Faculty of Mathematics & Information Technologies and the Faculty of World Economy & Management.

According to the assessment criteria, to win the All-Russia dictation in English, one must make no orthographic or punctuation errors. To receive an award, a participant could make maximum one orthographic and one punctuation error or maximum two punctuation errors.
