ASU Student Is Recognized as One of the Best Young Artists of Russia

Valeria Podgorova, a 2-year student of the Faculty of Pedagogics & Social Work of Astrakhan State University, is among the winners of the All-Russia Art Competition “Native Land”.

The project of the Moscow regional organization «Innovation», aimed at supporting creative, research and cultural activities of youth, was completed in December 2018. The competition was held at a distance in two nominations — painting and graphics.

Valeria Podgorova is a talented artist and an active participant of many creative competitions and projects. Having been inspired by evening walks around her home Astrakhan, she painted a picture “Crimson Sunset on the Volga”, which was highly appreciated by the jury members.
