ASU Scientific Elite Receives Congratulations

On February, 4 Astrakhan scientists attended an event, dedicated to the upcoming Day of Russian Science and the centenary of the higher education in the region. The solemn ceremony took place at the Theatre of Opera & Ballet, and representatives of Astrakhan State University were also among the awardees.

Kanat Shantimirov, the Acting Head of the Administration of the Governor, congratulated the scientific community of our region on behalf of Sergey Morozov, the Governor of Astrakhan region ad interim. He reminded the audience about the contribution of Astrakhan scientists to the development of the Russian science.

Astrakhan State University is one of the footholds of the regional science. Here unique specialists implement fundamental and applied projects, and our students take first steps towards their future scientific career.

In honour of the double occasion, Lyudmila Kasiyanova, the Dean of the ASU Faculty of Philology & Journalism, was awarded the Badge of Honour of the Governor "For Professional Merits". On behalf of her colleagues, she addressed the organizers, thanked them for recognition and congratulated everyone on this very important date for the region.

After that, the heroes of the occasion enjoyed a vibrant concert. The event was concluded on a vivid note and good wave, leaving only the best memories.
