Old New Friendship of ASU with a Turkish University
Astrakhan State University has revived partnership with Sakarya University. A respective agreement has been recently signed and it opens a wide range of opportunities both for well-established cooperation projects and new initiatives.
It should be recalled that the universities officially cooperated for many years, implementing student and staff mobility projects — Turkish teachers gave lectures at ASU, while our delegations visited Sakarya University. In 2015, the cooperation was suspended, and this year it has been eventually revived.
Sakarya University is among top 30 universities of Turkey. Like ASU, this university is classical and offers a lot of majors in highly-demanded spheres. Among its main advantages, the Turkish university marks out their compliance with innovation technological requirements, modern facilities and relevant knowledge, given to students by leading experts in different spheres.
The new agreement gives our students an opportunity to participate in mobility programmes and allows ASU to receive Turkish teachers, who, in their turn, appreciate the education, given by our university, a lot. The partnership agreement also implies academic mobility, joint research and many other projects, aimed at developing science, education and international cooperation.
