Astrakhan State University Keeps Holding the Onsite Stage of the Competition “I am a Professional”

Today, the competition has involved BA and MA students of the majors “Sociology”, “Economics” and “Journalism”.

A high status of organizer, acquired by ASU this year, gives certain preferences to its students, e.g. they don’t have to leave the region to participate in the final stage of the competition. On the contrary, these days the university itself receives the participants. Along with Astrakhan students, representatives of the Volgograd region and the Republic of Dagestan also completed the competition tasks in lecture rooms of our university.

The competition I am a Professional is primarily meant for 3-4th-year students, but there are also ambitious freshmen and degreed alumni who wish to try their hand and have a right to do it. However, these are senior students, who will join the ranks of the competition awardees, that will benefit from additional bonuses like traineeships in large partner companies and further training at leading Russian universities.

Since Astrakhan State University has obtained a status of a venue, its teachers were involved in checking the students’ papers within the distance stage of the competition.

The organizers of the competition I am a Professional, represented by Olga Afanasieva, the Deputy Dean for Admissions of the Faculty of Communications, Media and Design of the Department of Integrated Communications of the Higher School of Economics, has mentioned once again a high level of holding the event at ASU, the university administration and teachers’ interest and perfect material and technical resources. And it means that the partners will continue their cooperation in this area.
