ASU Is Ready to Address Modern Digital Challenges

Now Astrakhan State University develops several engineering projects, aimed at ensuring the university’s competitiveness and its attractiveness for potential students. Aleksey Titov, the Head of the ASU Engineering Project Office, elaborated further on these projects.

The World Engineering Competitions (WEC) are a unique contest which unites a plenty of educational platforms and young participants worldwide. Astrakhan State University is one of such platforms and is putting forward an initiative on involving major regional industrial enterprises, including the United Shipbuilding Corporation, into holding the World Engineering Competitions.

The Competitions allow their participants to keep up with high-tech areas from the very childhood and complete practical tasks to the fullest extent.

In order to ensure highly-professional engineering education and train future specialists for the region from their very childhood, the university runs the Caspian Higher Engineering School. One of its most remarkable projects is a formation of network of engineering groups in Astrakhan schools. Its implementation will allow to unite efforts of the best experts of the university, centres of technical, youth and innovative creativity and school teachers for developing engineering education, involvement of students into engineering activities on the basis of their participation in real technical projects.
