Astrakhan Will Discuss Issues of Region’s Cooperation with Azerbaijan

March, 14 will see another meeting of the Caspian Expert Club. This time, the meeting is timed to the 5th anniversary of the 4th Summit of Caspian States and the State Visit of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev to Russia.

The event, organized by the Russian Centre of Political Sciences North-South, Center of International & Public Political Research Caspian Sea Region — Eurasia, Caspian Expert Club and the Azerbaijan Information Agency Trend, will bring together leading scientists and experts, who specialize in the regional issues, representatives of public organizations and mass media of Azerbaijan and Russia.

The meeting programme will cover issues of the Caspian interaction through the lens of the regional integration. The experts will consider the influence of industrial zones and trade and economic projects on the intensity of the regions’ ties. The agenda includes the issues on positions of Chinese, Indian and EU companies in their work with the Caspian states, the issues of Caspian transit (combined transportation and the role of a maritime component).

Special attention will be paid to the issue of the regional security, humanitarian cooperation, including in the sphere of education and training highly skilled professionals.
