ASU Projects Will Be Tested by Regional Farmers
Astrakhan State University has presented its research developments at an exhibition of scientific achievements in agriculture.
The exposition was timed to the enlarged meeting of the Council for implementing activities, aimed at development of the Astrakhan agro-industrial complex, on the industry outcomes of 2018 and development prospects for 2019, with participation of economic entities, representatives of local self-government bodies of the regional municipal entities and general public.
Astrakhan State University also presented a number of its projects to the broad audience. Sergey Morozov, the Governor of the Astrakhan region ad interim, got especially interested in ASU models of agro-drones. The Head of our region noted the project modifications in comparison with the previous exposition: now the devices are designed for activities of different scope — from single-point monitoring to industrial volumes. Sergey Morozov recommended the project authors to test agricultural unmanned aerial vehicles on an experimental farm plot and, upon results of these tests, to recommend the device to a larger number of farmers for use.
