ASU Student Will Demonstrate Her Language Proficiency in Moscow

Astrakhan State University held a regional stage of the All-Russian French Dictation of 2019 for students, who do not specialize in French, aged 18-25.

The first stage brought together 23 participants from the Biological Faculty, Faculty of Social Communications, Mathematics & IT, World Economy & Management. The students were given a fragment of Ivan Calbérac’s novel “Venise n’est pas en Italie” (Venice is not in Italy).

The dictation participants successfully coped with the task. The first place was taken by a 3rd-year student of the Biological Faculty, the second place — by the 3rd-year student of the Faculty of Social Communications, and another 2nd-year student from the Biological Faculty was ranked third.

The winner of the regional stage now has the honour of participating in the final federal stage of the dictation which will take place on March, 21 in Moscow.
