ASU and Italian University Develop Their Scientific Partnership
Konstantin Markelov, the Acting Rector of Astrakhan State University, met with Prof. Federico Pernazza from the University of Molise. The parties outlined several promising areas of cooperation between the universities.
It should be recalled that the foreign expert’s visit became possible within the framework of the Erasmus+ short-term academic mobility programme. During several days of his stay in Astrakhan, Federico Pernazza gave a series of lectures for students, held a scientific workshop and a round-table discussion for teachers of the Law Faculty.
“I am interested in the international commerce legislation. Together with my colleagues from Astrakhan State University, we’ve outlined promising partnership relations. I hope that over the course of the project, which lasts two years, there will be an opportunity to conduct research and prepare joint papers,” the guest said.
Konstantin Markelov agreed with the Italian professor and noted: „It is very interesting for us. There are a lot of commercial entities and large enterprises in Astrakhan region that actively work with Italian business structures. In their turn, Italian companies have a keen interest in the special economic zone “Lotus”, for which ASU is a training centre.”
During the meeting, the Rector told the professor that May 2019 will see a great international conference “Digital Caspian Sea”, and one of its sections will be dedicated to joint juridical projects of the Caspian states. Konstantin Markelov invited representatives of the University of Molise to attend the conference.
The foreign guest thanked our Rector for the invitation and, in his turn, mentioned that the University of Molise had already invited one of their ASU colleagues to participate in the remote conference “State and Enterprises in International Relations” which will take place on April 4. The event will bring together experts from Belgium, France, Italy and, thanks to Astrakhan State University, from Russia. According to Prof. Federico Pernazza, this event will strengthen international relations of the two universities.
