A World-Class Historian and Writer Cooperates with ASU
Astrakhan State University welcomed Prof. Aleksandr Cheremin. The guest delivered a lecture and met with ASU Acting Rector Konstantin Markelov, where he told our Rector about his artistic and public plans and shared ideas on joint projects.
The writer has long been well-known both in Russia and abroad. He has published 185 papers on the history of Russia and neigbouring countries, disappeared states, regional studies, military history, counter-terrorism, genealogy, numismatics, phaleristics, palaeography, toponymics, political science, geopolitics, history of public institutions and biographies of eminent persons.
Now the expert intends to promote these important areas in Astrakhan region, which is his small motherland, and told it to the ASU Rector.
The writer is going to develop long-term cooperation precisely with Astrakhan State University as a valuable regional platform of science and education. It should be noted that the expert’s teaching activities started in our Pedagogical Institute.
Astrakhan State University is ready both to invite the expert for delivering lectures and to act as a link and coordinate the expert’s work with the university partners — industrialists, social organizations and public authorities.
The first meet-the-artist event for ASU students has been held today. Aleksandr Cheremin told the students about areas of his work and held an engaging discussion on relevant issues.
