Astrakhan State University Holds a Conference in Chemistry

On May 15, 2019 the ASU Chemical Faculty held the 10th scientific and practical conference for schoolchildren “Young Researcher 2019”, timed to the 150th anniversary of Mendeleev’s periodic table.
The objective of the event is to promote the natural science knowledge and to draw attention to modern challenges in chemistry and Astrakhan region. The conference brought together 80 schoolchildren of Astrakhan and Astrakhan region, as well as of Volgograd, Elista and Atyrau (Kazakhstan).
The scientific event programme included the following sections: “Chemical Experiment as a Basis to Understand the World”, “Environmental Problems of the Region”, “Interdisciplinary Aspects of Chemistry”, “Mathematical Modelling”, “Chemistry of Biologically Active Substances”, “First Steps in Learning the World”.
The conference participants received certificates and diplomas, and their reports were published in the conference electronic proceedings.
