ASU Wins at All-Russia Information Security Games "VolsuCTF 2019"

A student team of Astrakhan State University successfully participated in the competitions within the 8th all-Russia scientific conference "Security of Information Systems and Technology under Digital Economy Conditions".

The games were held on May 15-16, 2019 at the Volgograd State University and gathered six student teams from all over Russia.

Astrakhan was represented, among over participants, by students of the Faculty of Mathematics & Information Technologies Nikita Vasiliev, Nikita Poletaev and Aleksandr Prikhodko.

The games were held in a task-based format. The teams were given 28 tasks in seven categories: warm-ups, web technologies, criminalistics examination tasks, cryptography, steganography, reverse engineering and competitive programming.

The Astrakhan team managed to rank first in this hard-fought struggle.
