Konstantin Markelov Is Elected Rector of Astrakhan State University
Today, on May 22, ASU held the university rector election conference. Three candidates, which were preliminary certified by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, were listed in the voting bulletins.
The results of the voting by the conference delegates were as follows: 8 persons (5%) voted for Elina Polyanskaya, the ASU First Vice Rector and Vice Rector for Strategic Development, 19 persons (12%) — for Anna Fedotova, the Vice Rector for Research Activities, and 134 delegates (out of 161, that is 83%) voted for Konstantin Markelov, the ASU Acting Rector since February 2018.
Therefore, Konstantin Markelov was elected Rector of Astrakhan State University.
The elected rectors’ documents will be submitted to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation within three working days after the conference.
