ASU Develops Cooperation with German Universities

Welcoming the distinguished guest, Konstantin Markelov noted that his visit to ASU was at the right moment: at a recent meeting with the United Council of Students, there was a question as to why ASU lacks for closer relations with German universities for organizing traineeships, practical courses, academic exchange, etc., though ASU cooperates quite actively with other countries. The Rector also stressed that several German companies expressed their interest in the special economic zone “Lotus”. In his turn, Sebastian Brökelmann congratulated Konstantin Markelov on his election as Rector of the university and marked out those programmes that will strengthen the interuniversity cooperation between our countries. He got very interested in the capacities and activity areas of Astrakhan State University, in particular in double degree programmes.
At the end of his visit to Astrakhan State University, Sebastian Brökelmann met with representatives of different faculties of ASU, talked to them about the development of Germany-Russia relations and answered urgent questions, related to politics, history and information reliability in foreign media.
