Astrakhan State University Teachers Receive Awards

On May 31, another meeting of the ASU Academic Council saw ASU Acting Rector Konstantin Markelov’s recognition of his colleagues’ work.

The award badge "Honorary Worker of Education of the Russian Federation" was handed in to Tatiana Pilipenko, Candidate of Biological Sciences and an Associate Professor of the Department of Botany, Biology of Ecosystems & Land Resources, the certificate of appreciation of the Astrakhan Regional Duma was given to Prof. Raisa Akmaeva, Doctor of Economic Sciences and the Head of the Department of Management, while Mariyash Akmambetova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and an Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogics & Continuing Professional Education, was awarded the certificate of honour from the Ministry of Education and Science of Astrakhan region.

Besides, the meeting agenda implied a discussion of current issues like elections for positions of department professors and award recommendation, as well as the tuition fee for the 2019/2020 academic year for secondary vocational programmes, Ph.D. programmes and Master’s degree programmes.
