Five Faculties of ASU Celebrate the All-Russia Olympic Day with a Race

On June 16, the Astrakhan Central Stadium saw a traditional sport celebration, dedicated to the Olympic Movement.

The event was organized by the Russian Olympic Committee and the Astrakhan Regional Social Organization “Olympic Council” with participation of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sport of Astrakhan region.

Everyone interested could participate in the race. Amateur athletes ran the distance of 600 metres around the stadium. Each age category had special nominations, and the winners received anniversary medals and certificates.

Astrakhan State University was represented by students of the Faculty of Social Communications, Faculty of Geology & Geography, Biological Faculty, Faculty of Physics & Technology and Law Faculty.
