ASU Researchers Discuss Preparation of Joint Articles with Italian Colleagues
June 18 saw a virtual meeting of staff members of the ASU Department of Biotechnology, Zoology & Aquaculture with representatives of the Polytechnic University of Bari (Politecnico di Bari), an academic partner of our university.
The seminar was held via videoconference system within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme. Astrakhan State University was represented by Mikhail Egorov, the Head of the Department of Biotechnology, Zoology & Aquaculture, Lyudmila Sukhenko, a professor of the Department, and Adelya Baymukhambetova, a junior researcher of the Research Laboratory of Biotechnologies. The Polytechnic University of Bari, in its turn, was represented by Michele Notarnicola, a professor of the Department of Civil, Environmental, Land, Building Engineering and Chemistry, and researchers Sabino De Gisi and Francesco Todaro.
The venue for this productive online meeting was provided by the Project Office of International Cooperation and Development, while Maria Resnyanskaya and Dmitry Krutilov, interpreters of the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation, provided interpretation and technical support for the event.
The scientific seminar aimed at addressing organizational, methodological and review issues on preparing joint research papers.
During the creative discussion, the parties agreed on the stages of preparing two joint English articles on environmental protection on the example of the Southern Italy water bodies for publishing in leading European journals and two Russian articles on studying these water bodies for publishing in leading Russian environmental journals within the following month.
