ASU on ISLAND 10-22: Astrakhan State University Meets New Partners from across Russia

The second educational workshop “Island 10-22” is underway even at nighttime! On July 13, the end of the day saw a session of peer evaluation by the participants, organized for presentation of their projects and joint discussion on prospects of their development. The meeting resulted in new partner relations of Astrakhan State University with Russian HEIs.

At the evening platform of the workshop, the educational institutions made a brief presentation of their projects and the development areas. The meeting aimed at involving experts and partners into the universities’ developments. The participating representatives of different universities expressed their support to the colleagues and made proposals on cooperation in certain areas.

At the peer evaluation session, Astrakhan State University presented the Consortium of Higher Educational Institutions «Volga-Caspian Transport & Logistics Hub», the scope of which includes, among other things, Marinet, Autonet and Energynet of the National Technology Initiative. The consortium already unites 16 universities of Southern Russia.

The project was presented by ASU Acting Rector Konstantin Markelov. The Rector stressed that the expert evaluation of the project strengths and weaknesses, as well as of its prospects, is very important of the Astrakhan team.

As a result, ASU met new partners that are ready to participate in the consortium. These are Samara State Agrarian University, Southern Federal University (Rostov-on-Don), Kabardino-Balkarian State University (Nalchik), Samara State Technical University and the Engineering Centre of the Southwest State University (Kursk).
