Akhtubinsk Chooses Location for a New Branch of ASU

On August 12, Roman Kozyrkov, the Director of the ASU Znamensk Branch, took part in a meeting of the Akhtubinsk Administration on the issues of choosing the buildings that will serve as academic premises of the educational institution.

It should be recalled that the decision on establishing a new branch of Astrakhan State University has been recently made at the meeting of ASU Acting Rector Konstantin Markelov with Akhtubinsky District Head Aleksey Kirillov. Now the parties are discussing a legal form of the future educational institution. One of the proposed options of a legal status of the future educational institution is to join the ASU Akhtubinsk branch to the existing branch in Znamensk.

Together with Marina Meshchninova, the Head of the District Directorate for Education, Irina Mulko, a representative of the Southern Regional Directorate for Housing Provision of the RF Ministry of Defense, and Irina Yatsenko, the Deputy Head of the Property Relations Unit of the Akhtubinsk Administration, ASU Znamensk Branch Director Roman Kozyrkov inspected the buildings that can be used as premises of the future branch of Astrakhan State University in Akhtubinsk.

Three standardized buildings were proposed as possible premises of the ASU branch. The benefits of these buildings are their convenient location, good design and sufficient area, among other things.
