Students of Astrakhan State University Are Invited to Take Part in Case-Study Championship

The competition among representatives of higher educational institutions of Astrakhan region and the Southern Federal District is held for the second time and is supported by the Federal Youth Agency and the regional Ministry of Education and Science.

The case-study championship is a unique platform for interaction of HEI students with companies, where the former solve real industrial tasks, using their theoretical knowledge, financial and mathematical estimates and logic and demonstrating their professional competencies, skills and personal qualities in practice, while the latter select candidates for their labour pool and find out-of-the-box solutions for business tasks.

The categories of the 2nd Case-Study Championship of Astrakhan region:

• Construction and Architecture;
• Engineering Support of Shipbuilding Industry;
• Information & Communication Technologies;
• Medicine;
• Agriculture, Agronomy & Veterinary;
• Oil & Gas;
• Public & Municipal Administration.

Now the online registration is available for participation in the distance stage of the case-study championship. In October, the registered teams will receive case tasks from their potential employers and will work on their solution, after which they will send the results for assessment to the expert jury, consisted of top managers of the employing companies. On November 7, 2019, the best teams will be able to participate in the on-site stage of the case-study championship, where they’ll compete for “Cup of the Best” in their category and for the opportunity to do a traineeship in leading companies of the region, country and the world.
