Astrakhan State University Announces a New Enrollment in Arabic Courses

The Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation of ASU invited students, graduates, schoolchildren, volunteers and everyone interested to start or continue their learning of one of the most ancient and beautiful languages of the world.

You’ll learn about the culture, customs and traditions of one of the oldest civilizations and dive into the enigmatic and mysterious world of The East.

Besides, learning Arabic is more relevant than ever, as the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in Qatar, is just around the corner. Astrakhan State University is going to send volunteer interpreters and translators with the proficiency in Arabic to provide the linguistic support at one of the most important events in the world of sport.

The Caspian School offers two courses — basic and advanced. The 4-month basic course is meant for those who only start learning Arabic, while the 8-month advanced course is offered to people who have already mastered the basic level of the language.

By the way, September 17 saw an official ceremony of awarding the first group of Arabists — 16 people who attended the basic course — with certificates on completing the educational programme.
