ASU Researchers Present Their Reports at a Conference in the UK

On September 16-18, the University of Durham held the 4th international conference “DROPLETS 2019”, bringing together more than 200 scientists from across the globe. The conference is held in different countries every two years.

Two researchers of the ASU laboratory “Mathematical Modeling & ICT in Science & Education” took part in the conference.

Konstantin Kolegov, a senior researcher of the laboratory, and his colleague from the Landau Institute for Theoretical Physics (Chernogolovka, Russia) told the audience about the results of colloidal particle self-organization modeling in drying droplets. The report was based on the materials of their article, recently published in Physical Review E journal.

Yuri Tarasevich, the Head of the laboratory “Mathematical Modeling & ICT in Science & Education” , presented a report on some methods of drying droplet modeling, corresponding to his part of the review that he had prepared together with his colleagues from India and China and published in Physics Reports this year.

The next conference “DROPLETS 2021” will be held in the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany.
