ASU Chemistry Students Demonstrate Their Project at Festival of Science

On October 8, students of the Chemical Faculty presented their research project “New Materials, Created with the Use of Green Technologies for Food and Pharmaceutical Industries of Astrakhan Region” within the framework of the 4th Regional Student Science Festival.
The project aims at creating new materials with unique consumer properties on the basis of plants growing in Astrakhan region and with the use of green technologies.
The products are obtained through the processes of supercritical fluid extraction without any chemically hazardous solvents and reagents.
The material may be introduced into the food and pharmaceutical industries of the region.
