Erudite-2019 Competition at Astrakhan State University
The ASU Faculty of Geology & Geography has held the 3rd regional competition of scientific and research projects among schoolchildren. Its winners will represent the region at the 16th Baltic scientific and engineering competition in 2020 in St. Petersburg.
The entrants were welcomed by Prof. Aleksandr Barmin, Doctor of Geographical Sciences and the Dean of the Faculty of Geology & Geography, who wished the participants success on their scientific path and luck in defending their projects.
The participants of the 3rd regional competition of scientific and research projects presented their works in the sections “Biology and Ecology” (chaired by Tatiana Dymova, an Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology, Nature & Land Management & Safe Vital Activities) and “Physics and Robotic Engineering” (chaired by Aleksey Rybakov, the Director of the Institute of Physics & Mathematics).
After a heated discussion, the jury finally announced the winners. The project “ELMO Predicts Internet-of-Things System for Diagnostics and Detection of Pre-Emergency State of Contact Joints” ranked first in the category “Physics”, the project “Developing Smart Storage Hardware and Software System to Automate Work of Storage Premises” became the winner in the category “Robotic Engineering”, while the project “Using Green Technologies for Eco-Friendly Food Production on the Example of Fish-Plant Industrial Aquaponics Facility” was recognized the best in the category “Biology and Ecology”.
