ASU Journalism Students Write about Caspian Fashion Week
Mass media experts-to-be worked for the 10th season of the Astrakhan fashion event, which was held in early November in the Astrakhan Kremlin and became a universal business space, attractive for the international political, cultural and business communities.
The guests of the event enjoyed not only the show, featuring designers from Austria, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Monaco, Poland and Russia, but also a business and educational programme. Astrakhan welcomed experts from all over the world — artists, organizers of partner fashion week projects of CIS countries, stylists, bloggers, models, photographers, teachers and many others.
The journalism students were part of the mass media team that covered the Caspian Fashion Week events. They did interviews, worked at press conferences for regional and federal mass media, participated in show-room work and gave a wide coverage of the show in social media.
It should be noted that the Caspian Fashion Week is becoming a traditional annual platform for journalism students’ honing of the practical skills they have gained at university classes. By the way, an ASU alumna Elizaveta Nechaeva, who graduated with the major “Journalism”, is one of the founders of the project.
