ASU Team Represents University in the Final of “Student of the Year 2019”

On November 14-18, Rostov-on-Don saw the final stage of the Russian national award. Mass media students of Astrakhan State University, who are the absolute winners of the competition regional stage, also made for the Don capital.

The Award was founded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the all-Russian social organization “Russian Union of Youth” in 2014.

The competition is aimed at finding and supporting students of Russian educational institutions that have special achievements in professional activities, arts, sports, youth policy, student leadership and social activities.

Rostov welcomed 600 students from 55 RF subjects, and Don State Technical University became the venue of the “Student of the Year 2019”.

On November 14-15, the best students completed the competition tasks. Representatives of ASU Media Centre — a 3rd-year student of the major «Advertising & PR» Sergey Zabelin and a 2nd-year student of the major «Journalism» Anna Kucherova — participated in the category “Student Mass Media of the Year”.

It should be noted that during their stay in Rostov-on-Don, the ASU Media representatives managed not only to succeed in the competition but also to attend creative meetings featuring Russian singer Maksim Sharafutdinov, theatre actor Daniil Ivanov and The Junior Team series actor Vladislav Kanopka, as well as to make a series of lively photo reports.
