ASU May Become a Centre of Russia-Finland Technology Transfer

The participants of the Astrakhan State University delegation that had visited Finland last week reported on the results of their trip and the negotiated arrangements on promising cooperation areas.

ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov and Youth Scientific Project Office Head Albert Enaleev told their colleagues about modern roadmaps of Finnish educational institutions.

“The top-management of all the institutions and companies we visited are ready to promote their cooperation with ASU. In fact, these are researchers and project authors who establish contacts themselves, communicate with each other and agree to co-operate”, stressed Konstantin Markelov.

Agreements were reached with several institutions and companies, including the University of Eastern Finland, South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences, Aalto University, Arbonaut and Lumon companies. The delegation also outlined prospects of cooperation between the Oasis Centre of the University of Eastern Finland and the ASU Boiling Point. The colleagues from Finland are very interested in IT specialists, Asian languages and Russian as a foreign language. The university had been invited to a prestigious conference on information technology and a startup festival. Finally, the Astrakhan delegation got huge experience from the presentation of their developments at the Slush Helsinki international forum.
