Public Servants of the Region Do a Study Course at ASU

On November 20, Astrakhan State University started implementing an advanced training programme «Issues of State Demographic Policy Implementation».

The relevance of the issue is connected with the urgency of the demographic situation in Russia, which became the subject for analysis by experts and practitioners in the field of social and political problems of society.

The study programme was developed by the Department of Sociology of the ASU Faculty of Social Communications under the guidance of Associate Professor Yulia Mironova and includes a wide range of issues, from studying the role of the demographic factor in the modern world to analyzing specific mechanisms of demographic policy implementation in Russia and Astrakhan region.

The organizers invited several experts for the course delivery, in particular Ramiz Azizov, Acting Head of the Employment Agency, Marina Kashirova, Acting Head of the Civil Registry Office of Astrakhan region, Elena Mashkova, the Deputy Head of the Department of the Federal State Statistics Service in Astrakhan region and Republic of Kalmykiya and others.

The course was attended by employees of the Administration of Astrakhan Governor and regional ministries of education, social development and labour, culture and tourism, physical education and sports.
