ASU Agrarian Projects May Be Implemented in Liman District

Astrakhan State University hosted a meeting of Rector Konstantin Markelov with Mikhail Grebenshchikov, the Head of the municipal entity. Representatives of the university presented developments and projects of ASU scientists and students that could be of interest for agricultural producers and representatives of the district businesses.

The parties discussed some issues of cultivation of industrial and fodder crops and fishery development, as well as issues of training HR is leading majors of ASU for HR pool of the Liman district.

“For us it is very important that the district administration is focused on partnership with our university. Today ASU is training specialists in a wide range of different programmes: pedagogical, technical, engineering, agricultural, robotic and a lot more. Besides, we have an opportunity to train specialists in specific-purpose programmes. We have introduced a system of targeted enrollment and individual trajectory of studies; we address the issues of re-training in different majors. We also can invite specialists of your district to deliver lectures and master classes,” said Konstantin Markelov.

At the meeting, deans and representatives of ASU faculties presented several scientific developments to the Liman District administration.

Michail Grebenshchikov thanked the Rector for the meeting and supported the outlined areas for cooperation. The top official expressed his wish to meet students from the Liman District at ASU in the upcoming year.
