Students of Astrakhan State University Compete in Making Jokes

The Cultural Centre of the university has opened the festival of the Club of the Funny and Inventive People “ASU League” of the season 2019/2020. The stage brought together eight teams, including two interfaculty teams.

It should be recalled that this September saw the creation of the Club of the Funny and Inventive People (KVN) “ASU League”, headed by Petr Opanyuk. The initiative was supported by the university administration and gladly welcomed by the students.

A challenging task to assess the students’ offbeat items accrued to Rector Konstantin Markelov, Aviaprom Director-General Baurzhan Kokanov, Head of the Art Platform Project Office Galina Zoteeva, Head of the Directorate for Extracurricular Activities & Student Initiatives Development Natalia Tsibizova and Chair of the Board of Overseers of the Regional Office of the Russian Union of Youth, Founder of the KVN Junior League in Astrakhan region Inna Golobokova.

Each participating team received a bowling game certificate from the sports and entertainment centre “Hobby Club”, a partner of the contest.
