ASU Student Scholarship Will Be Higher Than in Other HEIs of Astrakhan
At the meeting that took place on January 20, the Academic Council approved the amount of scholarships for 2020 and adopted changes in the regulations on financial support to students of Astrakhan State University.
Galina Kudryavtseva, the Head of the ASU Directorate of Finances & Accountancy, noted that, in accordance with an agreement with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, more than 133 million rubles had been assigned for scholarship and financial support to university’s students, undertaking programmes of higher and vocational specialized education in 2019. The scholarship funds are distributed in accordance with regulatory requirements of the federal legislation.
“Astrakhan State University keeps a higher amount of the scholarship in comparison with other HEIs of the region, in particular with Astrakhan State Medical University, Astrakhan State Technical University and Saratov State Law Academy,” noted Galina Kudryavtseva.
Another point of the meeting of the Academic Council of the university was presentation of the regulations on providing financial support to ASU students by Maria Chernik, the Head of the Academic Unit.
Maria Chernik stressed that all the changes, introduced to the regulations on providing financial support to ASU students, are remedial, and they were approved by a unanimous decision of all the members of the Council.
