ASU Representatives Establish New International Contacts with French Universities

From January 26 to February 01, 2020, Dean of the ASU Faculty of Foreign Languages Nadezhda Emelianova and Head of the Department of Romanic Philology Elena Kuznetsova took part in the 29th all-Russian academic seminar “World of French Today: New Knowledge, Skills and Competences”.

The seminar is organized by the Association of Teachers of French and is held in cooperation with the Agency for International Educational Cooperation under support of the RF Ministry of Science and Higher Education and embassies of France and other French-speaking countries in Russia.

Participants were invited to attend classes, delivered by highly skilled experts from Belgium, Canada, France, Switzerland, USA and Maghreb countries (Algeria and Morocco).

The event bought together 125 teachers of French from Azerbaijan, Algeria, Belarus, Denmark, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Morocco, Russia and the United States.

Participation of the ASU representatives in the seminar allowed them to establish new international contacts with French universities and other educational institutions for further implementation of joint projects. Peer exchange of experience and ideas gives impetus for fruitful work and introduction of new approaches in teaching foreign languages.
