ASU Experts Explain How to Extract Oil from Watermelon Seeds

Professors of the Department of Organic, Inorganic & Pharmaceutical Chemistry of Astrakhan State University have taken part in program “Come on, up!” of Astrakhan 24 regional TV channel.

Professors of the Chemical Faculty Aleksey Tyrkov and Anatoly Velikorodov and Associate Professor Vyacheslav Kovalev participated in an expert discussion of the innovative project “Plant Oil from Watermelon Seeds”.

During the discussion, the ASU scientists touched upon the issues, connected with specific features of oil extraction technology, its chemical composition and areas of practical use. They also considered the issue of searching for potential business partners for practical implementation of the project.
