Astrakhan State University Creates All Conditions for E-Learning

ASU has switched over distance learning from March 16. The educational process for university students is organized with the use of information technologies. Teachers of all faculties work with and contact their students through digital learning systems and electronic resources.

Moodle has become one of the main tools of online learning for Astrakhan State University. Teachers upload their lectures and tasks there, while students send their assignments. Besides, Moodle users can discuss some aspects of class preparation in group chatrooms.

The study process is organized with other systems as well. For example, the Faculty of Foreign Languages holds seminars through video-call services due to specificity of their subjects.

The university administration keeps improving the system of distance learning. Any student can send his/her proposal on organization of online learning in a special online community, created by ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov in VKontakte.

ASU staff also remembers about the importance of cultural activities for the youth. When all the tasks, received from the teachers, are completed, students can devote their time to creativity. The first two video lessons on historical dances will be published as early as on March 30.
