Astrakhan State University Takes All Possible Measures Against COVID-19

A non-work week was declared from March 30 to April 5 for Astrakhan State University. Students were put on unscheduled vacations. A special schedule was set for staff members that form part of the emergency response centre. Teachers and administrative staff members aged 65 and older, as well as those with children under 14 years old, are temporary limited in going to university.

Those who enter the academic buildings and dormitories are taken temperature at the entrance. A record is kept of staff members with detected symptoms of cold-related diseases. There are dosers with dermal antiseptics and disinfection and air cleaning devices in the halls, all the surfaces are cleaned more often with the use of disinfecting agents every day, workrooms are aired regularly. The cafeteria replaced all the tableware with a disposable one. Personal hygiene rooms are provided with necessary cleaning agents.

The health centre of the university keeps working on a regular basis.

Instructions on the prevention of the COVID-19 spread are placed on the information stands in the ASU academic buildings. An incoming mail box will be installed in front of the university building.

A remote access to information resources of the university has been organized for staff members’ fulfilling professional duties in the self-isolation mode. Teachers who work in the distance learning mode are consulted on the usage of LMS Moodle platform by the phone.
