ASU Student Gains Knowledge at Federal Platform
First-year student of the Faculty of Philology & Journalism of Astrakhan State University Anastasiya Popova did a training course in the Youth Centre of Media and Communication. The programme was organized by the International Association of Student Television (IAST).
The project is supported by the RF presidential grant for development of civil society, provided by the Presidential Grant Foundation.
To participate in IAST workshops, one must pass the competitive selection. At the first stage, participants presented their portfolios, while at the second stage they completed a creative task which included preparation of text materials, an outreach video or a photo report on the topic “Student Life in My City”.
The participants were given four options to choose from — longread, podcast, outreach programme or talk show. This week has been dedicated to the hottest issue — self-isolation. The participants saw into self-isolation in different regions, the things one can and need to do while staying at home and the current influence of the COVID-19 on the world.
The ASU representative tried on the role of a reporter in an outreach programme. Her episode about the work of volunteers in self-isolation was called “Contagious Example”.
