Astrakhan State University Develops Instruction Sheet on Liability During Pandemic

Students of the ASU Law Faculty and their teachers developed the instruction to ensure law and order in Astrakhan region, raise legal awareness of the populationand createfavourable conditions for gradual lockdown ease.

The guidelines were developed becauselots of questions had arisen among the population concerning legitimacy of the measures taken to combat the COVID-19spread in Russia.

The instruction sheet consists of two parts:

• Part “Do not violate yourself!” includes explanations on the cases of criminal and administrative liability, punitive measures against those who break self-isolation and lockdown, spread fake news or participate in illegal protests;
• Part “Do not let anyone violate your rights!” describes some ways to protect one’s labour rights and property against encroachments of fraudsters during the pandemic.
