Astrakhan State University Will Complete Academic Year Remotely

At the videoconference meeting with the student activists, ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov spoke about the upcoming period of summer exams. Despite the gradual lockdown ease in the region, it is too early to speak about students’ return to university.

The Rector noted that the students have to complete his academic year remotely. The university administration is doing their best to create comfortable conditions during the examination period and defence of the graduation theses. Almost all the events will be organized via videoconferencing. Students can receive specific explanations on organization of the summer exams from their professors. They also can address their questions on the educational process to Vice Rector for Academic Activities Aleksandr Treshchev via e-mail.

The whole 2020 admission campaign will be held online too.

During the online conversation, Konstantin Markelov mentioned such an important event in the student life as the graduation ceremony. The rector says that now they are working out the issue of organizing an online graduation ceremony for all the faculties together with the Art Platform Project Office; the online event will be open for participation for everyone interested.
