Astrakhan State University Takes Part in National Project “Demography”

ASU has presented vocational and additional professional programmes for the competitive selection, organized by the Employment Agency of Astrakhan region in order to implement two regional projects — “Older Generation” and “Promoting Women’s Employment — Creating Conditions for Pre-School Education for Children Under the Age of Three”.

Grants forthe educational institutions that have entered the agency’sregister as implementers of vocational programmes, advanced training programmes and programmes of professional retraining, will aim at preretirement age people and women who are on maternity leave, taking care of children under the age of 3.

Those who expressed their desire for doing the courses and contacted the Employment Agency of Astrakhan region, will get an education certificate and the right to choose the educational institution. It will provide prospective attendees with an opportunity to make a decision on the choice of the educational programme and educational institution and to gain competences, necessary for their professional activity, during the study course, which will further improve their competitiveness in the labour market.

16 advanced training programmes of Astrakhan State University took part in the projects. The most active participants of the process of preparing the applications were representatives of the ASU Law Faculty, Faculty of Pedagogics & Social Work and Faculty of Psychology.
