ASU Student Ranks Second at International Competition
Second-year student of the Faculty of Physical Training & Sports of Astrakhan State University Svetlana Titova entered top-3 of the 59th Great Moscow Regatta, which took place last weekend at the Krylatskoe water-race canal.
The prolonged lockdown did not prevent the lady from preparing for performance on the international stage decently.
The competition resulted in a silver medal, won by the Astrakhan athlete in the coxed-four category.

The Great Moscow Regatta is a sporting event with a legendary history and long-standing rowing traditions. It was held for the first time in 1956. Nowadays, these traditions are being revived in order to share the Russian culture with the whole international rowing community.
This is a qualifying competition for selection to the Russian rowing team for participation in the world championship under 23 years of age. Last year, more than 900 athletes from 10 countries took part in the competition.
