Participants of Engineering Hackathon Will Compete for Special Prize from CADMATIC Company
August, 24 saw the end of the tournament participants’ registration and completion of tasks of the first stage of the competition, organized by Astrakhan State University and Southern Shipbuilding & Shiprepairing Centre under support of the Union of Mechanic Engineers of Russia.
The list of registered entrants includes representatives of 13 educational institutions and shipbuilding enterprises from St. Petersburg, Moscow, Stavropol, Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod and Astrakhan.
Along with the possibility to win the prize money and guaranteed employment at the Southern Shipbuilding & Shiprepairing Centre, participants of the engineering hackathon have a chance to get special prizes from the project partners. For example, CADMATIC Company will award the competition winner with a traineeship at their St. Petersburg facilities.
As the hackathon organizers note, the emerging partnership between CADMATIC and Astrakhan State University is aimed at developing a new project on creation and further functioning of a CADMATIC competence centre at ASU.
For Astrakhan State University, such cooperation is a driver for developing education in the sphere of training industrial HR and for improving the competitiveness of its alumni at the international labour market. As a result, the university will have all chances to develop the engineering community of CADMATIC users in specialized industries of Astrakhan region and of Russia in general, and to provide Russian companies with professional HR with respective competences.
