Rector Konstantin Markelov Congratulates ASU on Knowledge Day

Dear students and staff members of Astrakhan State University! I congratulate you on the 1st of September and the beginning of the academic year!

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the ASU team that makes our university one of the strongest HEIs of the Southern Federal District. With good reason: this year, Astrakhan State University has entered Russian HEIs ranking “National Recognition” and the 11th National Ranking of Universities.

I would like to wish our university’s professors implementation of their scientific projects, and the students — determination in soaring to educational heights, proper time management for their studies and other pleasures of the student life. Let your way to the profession you love be enlightening, interesting and decent. I hope that the cooperation between our professors and students will be fruitful and will favour our university’s growth. I am sure that we will manage to address all the tasks at hand in the new academic year.

I am particularly glad to congratulate our freshers! From now on, you are part of the united and successful family of Astrakhan State University. ASU opens the doors to the adult professional life for you. Believe in yourself and in your abilities, strive for learning something new, work hard, be active not only in your studies but also in research, cultural and sports life of the university! I do hope that you will remember your university years with the kindest feelings. I am sure that the knowledge you will gain will help you contribute to the future of our country and build a successful career.
