ASU Master’s Degree Student Won Competition “Family and Future of Russia 2020”
Student of the Faculty of Philology & Journalism of Astrakhan State University (programme “Language and Style of Mass Media”) Victoria Dubasova is the finalist in category “Research Paper”.
The competition is held by the St. Andrew the First-Called Foundation within the all-Russia programme «Sanctity of Maternity”, supported by the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications, the Faculty of Journalism of Lomonosov Moscow State University and Endowment Foundation “Istoki”.
Participation was open for scientific papers (term papers, graduation theses, Ph.D. theses, scientific publications) from students and Ph.D. candidates of specialized departments of higher educational institutions, connected with analysis of representation of the family issue in the mass media and social media.
For the competition, Victoria Dubasova presented paper “Modification of Image of Mother as Sociocultural Concept in Modern Media Space” (scientific supervisor — Head of the ASU Department of Theory & History of Journalism Galina Belolipskaya).
Now Victoria has new opportunities and prospects for improving her professional competences in the media. The St. Andrew the First-Called Foundation and the Faculty of Journalism of Lomonosov Moscow State University are holding a three-day workshop for the competition finalists. The programme includes a 12-hour round table discussion with experience exchange and ten master classes from leading media experts and scholars of MSU.
