Astrakhan State University Is a Partner of Large-Scale Youth Forum

The first district-wide school of student self-governance “Southern” took place on September 18-21 in Astrakhan. The event involved students, schoolchildren, teachers and public activists from more than 10 regions of Russia. ASU representatives also joined the forum as volunteers and participants.

The project mission is to create an educational and communication platform that will unite students and workers of the educational sector of the Southern Federal District in order to ensure consistent work on youth self-governance development.

For three days, ASU students rendered assistance at the venues, prepared photo reports and press releases, coordinated events and shared knowledge on youth self-governance, while performers of the university’s cultural centre prepared special items for the forum participants.

Besides, the ASU Boiling Point Centre hosted a meeting of heads of the student self-governance bodies and a report and election conference of the Astrakhan Regional Branch of the Association of Students and Student Unions of Russia.
