ASU Representative Is Among Leaders of World AI&Data Challenge International Competition

The Agency for Strategic Initiatives and the World Bank are holding a competition, aimed at addressing global socioeconomic challenges with the use of big data and artificial intelligence technologies.

ASOIU TEAM, which included teaching assistant of the ASU Department of Ecology, Nature & Land Management & Safe Vital Activities Viktor Zanozin, ranked first at the second stage of the competition.

The competition involved 6,500 IT and data experts from 82 regions of Russia and 26 countries.

Only 19 solutions out of 39, which had passed the preliminary selection, won the competition.

ASOIU TEAM presented a project on water level forecasting during the spring flood.

The next step for the competition participants will be final introduction of their developments.
