ASU Discusses Teaching Entrepreneurship within Educational Space “School-College-University”

The Centre of Entrepreneurship of the Faculty of Economy & Management has organized a roundtable discussion “Modern Entrepreneurship Education” within the celebration of the anniversary of the Boiling Point Centre of Astrakhan State University.

The discussion involved directors of secondary comprehensive schools of Astrakhan and their deputies, the administration of the Advanced Professional Training Centre of the Astrakhan State Polytechnic College and representatives of the Astrakhan Industrial and Commercial Chamber.

Addressing the event participants, Dean of the Faculty of Economy & Management Ivan Maksimov stressed that entrepreneurship has been an essential part of the Russian economy over the last 30 years.

As the roundtable participants said, one of the priority areas of modern education is teaching the fundamentals of entrepreneurship to schoolchildren, their adaptation and navigation in the market conditions, development of economic thinking and economic culture in the youth. The experts stressed the importance of creating educational clusters (schools — vocational institutions — ASU) and their transition to innovative technologies of training business HR.

Representative of the Astrakhan Industrial and Commercial Chamber Vladimir Aksenov presented the main activities of the chamber on favouring the development of professional business education, based on the strategic goals of the socioeconomic development of our country — entrepreneurship development and strengthening of the HR and business potential.

At the end of the roundtable discussion, the participants stressed the importance and necessity of further cooperation with the ASU Faculty of Economy & Management within career-guidance, research and methodological activities.
